Not yet. Audre’s Den has submitted the paperwork for tax exempt status. However, donations will not be tax deductible until the status is officially granted. Every contribution still goes directly toward building and sustaining the bookstore and its community programming.
Audre’s Den is being built in response to a real and present community need. While our tax exempt application is in process, we chose to begin fundraising now so we can secure space, build inventory, and begin offering programming as soon as possible.
Every donation is used directly to support the creation and sustainability of the bookstore and its community offerings, and we are committed to full transparency throughout this process.
